MERKUR to Launch First UK Casino in Aberdeen

The vibrant city of Aberdeen in Scotland has recently welcomed an exciting addition to its thriving entertainment scene with the opening of the first-ever MERKUR Casino in the UK. The official inauguration of the venue was led by Irina Ruf, CEO of MERKUR Casino, alongside Sascha Blodau, General Manager of MERKUR UK, and Mark Schertle, Chief Operating Officer of MERKUR Casino UK.

The grand opening ceremony, attended by local dignitaries, business leaders, and gaming industry professionals, featured special performances by renowned acts such as the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, who have achieved sold-out shows worldwide, and singer Chris Ashton, known for supporting Lewis Capaldi and performing privately for notable figures, including two-time Wimbledon men’s singles champion Sir Andrew Murray OBE.

The MERKUR Casino in Aberdeen has undergone extensive refurbishment, offering an array of exciting gaming options. The venue features four Roulette Tables, two Blackjack tables, three Card Poker, two Electronic Roulette products, and a selection of 20 state-of-the-art B1 Jackpot Machines from well-known and high-performing brands like Novomatic, IGT, and Blueprint.
