Playtech Expands into Michigan Market Through Gun Lake Casino Partnership

Playtech, one of the world’s most powerful providers of live dealer games for online casinos, has announced that it expanded into the Michigan market through partnerships with Parx Interactive and the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians.

The software provider designed a brand-new mobile iGaming app with the help of Parx Interactive. The app is called Play Gun Lake and it will run on Playtech’s IMS platform and Player Account Management and also feature a wide range of online gambling content from Playtech.

This new app is based around the Pottawatomi tribe’s Gun Lake Casino. This land-based entity secured approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board to launch an online gambling app in the state, in partnership with Parx Interactive.

Playtech and Parx Interactive have an older agreement between them, it was signed back in February and it sets the groundwork for future iGaming product launches in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Indiana.

This launch is another step in Playtech’s bold growth plans in the United States. Last month the company announced its plans to open its very first live casino studio in the country after having signed a multi-year lease in Southfield, Michigan.

Last month, Playtech announced the launch of a dedicated live casino studio for Sky Vegas, the casino brand that is operated by Sky Betting and Gaming. The studio is not located in the United States but in Riga, Latvia, where Playtech have developed a state-of-the-art production facility for live dealer games.

The partnership started with just a couple of titles, Sky Vegas will feature just Live Roulette and Live All Bets Blackjack, both allowing an unlimited number of players to enjoy the games at the same time.

Earlier this year, the supplier reached a similar agreement with 888, one of biggest online betting and gaming companies. This partnership added several live casino games and random number generator games provided by Playtech into the offering at 888casino. The provider also agreed to set up a bespoke 888 branded studio in the same facility in Riga, Latvia.

Playtech was founded in 1999 and has developed into a powerful provider of video slots and live dealer games for online casinos. The company has around 6,400 employees across 24 countries, and its well-known products can be found in almost all the largest online casinos in the world. Playtech’s live casino titles are currently broadcast from studios in Latvia, Estonia, the Philippines and Romania, with the United States studio set to go live in the near future.
