Playtech, the global iGaming giant that supplies software, slot games and live dealer games to online casinos, has announced its support for the research conducted by the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) in Canada and the United States of America.
The International Center for Responsible Gaming is a pioneer organization when it comes to researching gambling disorders. The institution has been conducting very tough competitions for its research grants, starting all the way back in 1996.
The ICRG is overseen by a Scientific Advisory Board which is fully independent and has leading specialists among its components. The International Center for Responsible Gaming has recently invited researchers to take part in a programme focused on the impact of gambling on under-served population groups in Canada and the United States. This strategic initiative looks to secure enough funding for conducting a thorough research in this area.
Playtech has been an active supporter of the organization’s effort as the company has agreed to provide funds for this research programme which is focused on the impact of gambling on under-served groups in Canada and the United States. This research will eventually become a very important tool for policymakers and regulators but also for companies in the industry as all stakeholders are looking for ways to strengthen player protection, especially among under-served population groups.
Arthur Paikowsky, the President of the International Center for Responsible Gaming, acknowledged that the donation made by Playtech allows the organization to take significant steps towards completing this research programme focused on indigenous communities in Canada and the United States.
