Loto-Québec, the provincial lottery and gambling operator headquartered in Montreal, has signed a new agreement with Inspired Entertainment, a global supplier of content, technology, hardware and services for regulated gaming, betting, lottery, social and leisure operators.
The agreement between the two parties was all about the digital lottery products provided by Inspired Entertainment, which will be integrated on the online platforms operated by Loto-Québec, the lotoquebec.com website and the Loto-Québec mobile app.
The two companies had been working together before, as the interactive casino content provided by Inspired Entertainment was already included in Loto-Québec’s offering.
Anne-Marie Voyer, Director of Lottery Products and Development at Loto-Québec, revealed that the online casino content from Inspired Entertainment was appreciated by the customers in Canada’s French-speaking province, and that is why the company decided to extend the partnership to include iLottery games.
The partnership will see Inspired Entertainment launch exclusive new games in 2022: Scarab Treasures and Fruit Drop Scatterdrops, which will be branded as “Explosion de Fruits Reaction”.
Brooks Pierce, President and Chief Operating Officer at Inspired Entertainment, added that Loto-Québec is the company’s first customer in the iLottery market, which makes this partnership “an important strategic step” for the provider.
The global lottery market is estimated to be over 300 billion dollars, so there is amazing potential for growth in this vertical as lotteries are expanding more and more worldwide. Inspired Entertainment currently operates in 32 different jurisdictions around the world, providing terminals and content for game systems for around 50,000 gaming machines located in betting shops, pubs, gaming halls and online websites as well.
