Aristocrat Leisure Limited, the major Australian provider of slot machines for land-based casinos and games for online casinos, has announced its results for the first half of the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
The numbers show a net profit increase of 14 percent for Aristocrat during the six months which ended on March 31st. The Australian’s company’s net profit (NPATA) amounted to 659 million Australian dollars, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization went up by 5.7 percent to 1.02 billion Australian dollars.
The company’s total revenue for the first half of the fiscal year amounted to 3.08 billion Australian dollars, a figure which represents an increase of 12.1 percent compared to the first half of the previous fiscal year.
Most of the revenue increase came from the company’s operations in North America, where outright unit sales went up by 27 percent and the average selling price per unit also rose by 21 percent. Aristocrat now has 27,299 slot machines installed in the United States, consolidating its position as the leading supplier on this market.
From North America the Australian company received revenue of 1.44 billion Australian dollars during the first half of the fiscal year, an increase of 26.4 percent year-on-year, while profit went up 20.6 percent to 800.1 million Australian dollars.
The company’s operations in Australia and New Zealand didn’t produce similar results, revenue from this region dropped by 0.5 percent to 221.6 million dollars, while profit narrowed by 15.7 percent to 76.5 million Australian dollars.
