BetGames.tv Appoint Playtech’s Andreas Köberl as New CEO

BetGames.TV, one of the fastest-growing providers of live casino games, has hired a new chief executive officer to help them move the company forward. The person they have chosen is Andreas Köberl, a former employee of Playtech, one of the biggest companies in the iGaming industry.

Köberl was in charge of Playtech Sports, where he started out as commercial director before taking charge of the Trinity Bet Group, which operates Hpybet, a sportsbook brand that is focused mainly on the German and Austrian markets.

The new BetGames.tv CEO holds several degrees in engineering and business, along with a PhD in high-tech marketing. He has been managing the development and implementation of complex software products for the past 12 years, including a stint with Microsoft.

BetGames’ founder, Vygerdas Jonikas, decided to step down from his position as chief executive in order to channel his efforts into making the company’s products better. With Köberl’s arrival, Jonikas will become the company’s product chief.

Commenting on his appointment, Andreas Köberl said: “I have had the opportunity to learn from several B2B industry leaders over the past decade, and my recent experience building up a B2C operator in a highly-competitive market will serve me well as I look forward to this exciting challenge at BetGames.Tv.

Vygerdas Jonikas, the founder of Betgames.tv, added: “It has been a very pleasant journey, from a crazy idea to today, a successful company, where we have filled the betting market with a constant calendar of table games, lotteries and other inventive live content.

Over the past few months, BetGames.tv have been reaching agreements with several platforms to include their live casino content. Their live games are now available on UltraPlay, on SBTech’s Chameleon360 iGaming platform and they were also added on Microgaming’s network of content partners.
